The central Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) operates the unified Vahan system. Registered vehicle owners can generate a copy of their Registration Certificate directly by following these steps:
Go to the official Vahan Citizen Services web portal at vahan.parivahan.gov.in. Select your registration state from the dropdown menu.
Select your registering RTO from the listing or choose to enter your vehicle registration number directly, agree to the terms, and click **'Proceed'**.
In the main citizen menu panel, locate **'Services'** and select **'RC Related Services'** ➔ **'RC Extract / View RC Details'** (or **'Download Document'** ➔ **'RC Print Form 23/24'** depending on the state portal setup).
Provide your full Vehicle Registration Number, the last 5 characters of your Chassis Number, and the last 5 characters of your Engine Number to unlock the secure record ledger.
Click on the **'Generate OTP'** button. Enter the one-time password code sent to the registered mobile number associated with your vehicle record in the Vahan portal.
Upon successful OTP validation, your digital vehicle registration booklet details will be rendered on the screen. Click on the **'Print'** or **'Download PDF'** icon at the top to save a duplicate offline.
